About Us
Code 9 Firearms Training was developed to provide armed citizens the skills they need to succeed in a violent encounter. Many people own firearms with little or no training on how to properly use or care for them. This is like buying an airplane and not taking flight school before your first flight. Code 9 Firearms Training is designed to take shooters with little to no training and provide them with the fundamental skills they need to be safe, confident and proficient. Our training is also great for skilled shooters who want to maintain their fundamentals. Clint is the founder and lead instructor of Code 9 Firearms Training. He started his law enforcement career in Central Oregon 10 years ago and is still active duty Law Enforcement.

I wanted to take this class to basically learn about properly handling a handgun. I was very nervous about it but Clint Baltzor assured me the pace would be slo...w and we all would get the training we needed to be safe. I am so glad I signed up for this class. Clint is an excellent professional and very knowledgeable, and you can tell he truly enjoys being an instructor. He does a great job answering all the questions and providing quick constructive feedback. By the end of the day, I left the shooting range feeling very confident. Clint was very accommodating with my scheduling conflicts! I have my CWP and wanted more education and refinement with my draw. We talked about possible scenarios, practiced some tactical situations, target shooting, excellent safety advice too.
I really appreciated (especially from a women's perspective) Clint being so easy to talk too. I felt 100% comfortable in our private class. I didn't feel like any question was "dumb". He was professional, funny and full of experience and knowledge! I got great advice from his varied and lengthy experience! He gave me great feedback. I learned a ton and left feeling empowered and confident.
I would highly recommend Code 9 for anybody! Complete novice or experienced! There's always something to learn and improve on!!
